Today speaking with a co-worker told me that she was afraid of needles, that for her it was impossible going to a simple blood analysis. Why do people fear of needles?
Interviewing Doctor Draco Nain, expert on blood analyses in an Urgencies service at Oklahoma Hospital Centre, he told me:
“People are afraid of needles because of comparing needles with a bad experience when children with wasps.”
After speaking on Facebook’s chat with my colleague, she told me that really yes, when she was child a swarm of wasps fell from a tree on her head and they stung her hundreds of times.
Always there is a reason for something which worries us. Psychologists agree with the idea that the only thing for knowing about something wrong is going to the past and searching on our traumatized childhood.
