HOWARD GARDNER: MEMORIZATION ISN’T USEFUL
HOWARD GARDNER: MEMORIZATION ISN’T USEFUL

Howard Gardner, the father of the theory of multiple and recently prize-winning with 2011 Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences, warns that societies waste the talent of their people.

Improving the education system should be a top priority of governments. And a tip: take advantage of digital media is very important. It is not very useful having students at school memorizing things when you can find all this stuff on Wikipedia,” said Howard.

Really, it is not very useful having students memorizing things if everything you can find merely consulting Wikipedia or other kind of encyclopaedias online.

That’s fine, but if for example a student on surgery, one day for those coincidences of the live, becomes doctor and we meet in the operating room, for sure that I would prefer that he knows where are all the body organs of memory that consulting it on the Wikipedia.

This blog is an amusing meditation about things that happen in this crazy world. Fiction and reality go hand to hand and sometimes one doesn’t know if the facts are false or true. Any resemblance that you can find here with the real world is purely coincidental or not. One thing is sure, all the content of this blog is 100% original by the author.
