Jun left a comment on my post "THOUGH CANCER IS EVIDENCE, PEOPLE SMOKE" and she told me:
- “You know... people notice. Be it losing a leg because of swimming in a crocodile-filled river or coughing up blood because of lung cancer. They notice, they know they're gonna die sooner than they should.
Even people my age notice they're smoking too much - when they do any exercise and tire easily, when their colds last weeks or months - they notice.
It's funny how often we smokers are told "you don't know how much harm you're doing to yourself!" Actually, we ARE aware of that, and we know we're "killing ourselves", but we don't talk about it.
Death is such a sad topic for conversation, especially when we are healthy and cancer-free.”
Thank you very much for your comment Jun!
