THE IRANIAN LEADER CRITICIZES OCTOPUS PAUL
I recognize that I don’t like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian leader. Tyrants like him there are few in the world, fortunately for us. But, if I must agree a subject with him, I agree his last speech to his people in Tehran where he declared:

- “Paul the Octopus, the sea creature that correctly predicted the outcome of World Cup football, is a symbol of all that is wrong with the western world.”

Yes, our society has become ill believing that an octopus can predict even the lotto numbers. Especially Spanish people that would want to create an altar, putting the animal higher than a religious identity, for going to its sanctuary and adore it like a Saint.

Until now, we knew about octopus existence for TV reports, where they attacked with ink its predators for combating the menace. Too, some chefs showed in their “kitchen TV programs”, the best manner to cook them for preparing a delicious dish. But now, they have won the respect of the people, so it will be difficult that they finish in the menu of the restaurants, all the opposite, they will become pets, respected as cats and dogs.

Really, these kinds of stories are more for funny than for really to think that it can become a true reality. People know that it is a single event that with the time will be forgotten; an anecdote more in this excentric world where we live, that without these things would be a sad world.

This blog is an amusing meditation about things that happen in this crazy world. Fiction and reality go hand to hand and sometimes one doesn’t know if the facts are false or true. Any resemblance that you can find here with the real world is purely coincidental or not. One thing is sure, all the content of this blog is 100% original by the author.
